Wesleyanism or Wesleyan theology is the system of Christian theology of Methodism taught by John Wesley.
At its heart, the theology of John Wesley stressed the life of Christian holiness: to love God with all one's heart, mind, soul and strength and to love one's neighbour as oneself.
Wesley's teaching also stressed experiential religion and moral responsibility.
We choose to join with each other, and mystically become the body of Christ. In fact, we cannot be the body of Christ by ourselves.
Anything more than one local church working by itself is a denomination. You can call it a "network" or a "family of churches" if you like.
We think that God's renewal can penetrate into the very core of our beings: that we really can love God with our whole being; that we really can love our neighbors as ourselves; that we can be cleaned, not just dirt painted-over..
The Free Methodist Church is a "modified episcopacy" which, in plain English means the church models mutual submission of the ordained ministers and lay ministers in its governing bodies.
If these 8 things happen, we can die happy men and women:
The mission of the Free Methodist Church is to make known to all people everywhere God's call to wholeness through forgiveness and holiness in Jesus Christ, and to invite into membership and to equip for ministry all who respond in faith.
A Growing Church actively connecting people to Jesus Christ in a welcoming assembly.
Bringing Jesus to the North Central United States through growing and planting healthy congregations advanced by boldly apostolic leaders working synergistically together.
A healthy, biblical community of holy people multiplying disciples, leaders, groups and churches and to know God and to glorify Him by making Him known.
